Jasper County Highway Maintenance Facility

Building Systems Design Group LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the new $3.6 million Jasper County Highway Maintenance Facility. It features 30,000 square feet of maintenance and shop space and over 5,000 square feet of office space for the growing department, officials say. The building, designed by Paragon Architecture LLC, centralizes services and consolidates several facilities in the Carthage area. R.E. Smith Construction Co. (Joplin) is serving as general contractor, and additional engineering work is by Allgeier, Martin and Associates Inc. (Joplin), civil, and J&M Engineering LLC, structural. The project is expected to be completed by November 2022.
Tea Bar & Bites Bakery & Cafe changed ownership; the Springfield-Greene County Health Department relocated one of its clinics; and a Joplin real estate investment organization affiliated with a national trade group formed the Springfield Real Estate Investors Association.
