Woodneath Library Center Auditorium
Kansas City
True Engineering Group LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer of the $6.5 million Woodneath Auditorium, an 11,500-square-feet building adjacent to the Woodneath Library Center. Project officials say it will seat 250 people with an overflow area to accommodate another 200. The stage will be set up for lectures, presentations, movies and community events with three projection screens, stage lighting and the ability to livestream events. Sapp Design Architects Associates PC has matched the architectural style of the existing library, and the auditorium will be connected by a covered walkway. JE Dunn Construction Group Inc. is the general contractor, with Olsson Inc. performing civil, structural and landscape engineering. The project is expected to be completed in November.
