Liberal Elementary School addition

RTM Engineering Consultants LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the $4.1 million Liberal Elementary School addition, which replaces the decades-old gymnasium that was destroyed in a 2019 fire, officials say. The 10,500-square-foot gymnasium is designed for basketball, volleyball and archery, and it includes locker rooms and a performance stage. The lobby will have a concessions area, as well as space for student displays and a secure entrance. The addition includes a 1,700-square-foot tornado safe room that doubles as a multipurpose space. Paragon Architecture LLC is the project architect, Branco Enterprises Inc. is the general contractor and Toth and Associates Inc. is the civil and structural engineer. The project is slated for completion in June.
