Rooted in a strong connection to the Ozarks, Zeb Wallace, 35, has worked in three school districts in southwest Missouri throughout his career in education. He has found that his passion goes deeper than just teaching; it’s education leadership. Shortly after starting his teaching career, he transitioned to an assistant principal position. This quick trajectory into a leadership role gave Wallace a unique perspective into school districts that ultimately helped him navigate obstacles and progress over 13 years to principal of Ozark North Elementary.
Wallace prioritizes a positive environment that students look forward to at Ozark North. He works with organizations within Ozark North like Success-Ready Students Network, Innovative District and North Campus Union Board.
First job? Summer custodial/maintenance help at my alma mater, Billings High School. I did this for three summers in high school and it is still one of my favorite jobs.
Favorite podcast? Even if I’m only tuning in as white noise, I love following the St. Louis Cardinals. I’m still waiting for the call to play or even coach, but it hasn’t happened yet!
Favorite hobby or creative outlet? I am an avid hunter and outdoorsman and sharing this passion with friends and family is easily my favorite pastime.
Favorite local food order? As a true southwest Missouri native, I appreciate two of the delicacies of our region: Springfield-style cashew chicken and Mexican Villa.
