Being proactive instead of reactive, and coaching others to do the same, has been a driving force behind Josh Brock’s career.
Brock, 36, says he makes the time to work with clients and fellow advisers one on one.
Now, as a shareholder at KPM, he’s able to help lead the firm’s coaching program.
He gathers feedback, holds quarterly reviews and regularly checks in with staff. He says this helps cultivate the culture KPM strives for and helps the newer staff meet their personal and professional goals.
He says, “It’s very gratifying to me to see our younger staff be genuinely happy when they find themselves handling certain tax return issues easily, whereas they struggled with these issues in the recent past.”
Brock also gives back to the community through volunteer leadership roles with Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks and the southwest chapter of the Missouri Society of CPAs.

Favorite hobby or creative outlet? I have always been competitive and played sports since I was a kid, so golf has become my go-to competitive outlet now that I am not as young.
