The Whitlock Co. LLP

Posted online

Oliva Cole, 33, was named a partner at The Whitlock Co. in June 2024. The CPA has grown her career through a people-first mindset that takes center stage in her work and professional relationships.

“My leadership is evident in the trusted relationships I have built with both long-term and new clients, establishing myself as a reliable and respected voice,” she says. “Additionally, I lead through the high quality of my work, providing a model for staff to confidently follow.”

Cole manages the training and mentorship program for new and young staff members, creating initiatives to help graduates integrate into the workforce. Her civic involvement includes volunteering with the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, and she is a member of the Accounting and Finance Women’s Alliance Springfield Chapter and Mercy Health Foundation’s Women with the Mission.

Best productivity hack? Write three things down on your to-do list that you know you can get done during the day. That guaranteed win and feeling of accomplishment can add mounds of motivation during your day!

Best celebrity meeting/sighting story? With the help of friends, Aaron Watson acknowledged a cardboard sign during his concert which resulted in my husband being forced into promising to buy our daughter her first pony. I have the pictures and autographed sign to prove it!

Favorite hobby or creative outlet? Loading the horses up in the trailer and going on an adventure. I love exploring the countryside via horseback and attending chuckwagon races with friends and family.

Favorite local food order? Espresso concrete from Andy’s.
