40 Under 40 Alumni Spotlight: Winter Kinne, 2012

Then: Development operations manager, Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc.
Now: President and CEO, Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc.

Climbing the ladder over her nearly two decades at Community Foundation of the Ozarks, Winter Kinne became the nonprofit’s president and CEO in late 2023, succeeding longtime leader Brian Fogle.

“I’ve had the glorious opportunity to grow along with this organization,” she says. “When I started in June of 2005, our assets were $85 million under management, and at this point we’re at about $520 million under management.”

CFO is amid building renovations at 300 S. Jefferson Ave. after it purchased the Kenneth E. Meyer Alumni Center from Missouri State University to serve as its new home. Kinne, 42, has her fingers crossed to occupy the space before year’s end.

Outside CFO, she’s on the board of directors at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and is the new board chair for statewide organization Philanthropy Missouri.
