Britnee Hill, 31, is proud that her peers praise her knowledge of the law, and she should be.
She got there via a commitment to never be complacent, to constantly learn and improve. Along the way, she has helped improve the lives of many others, including young professionals, by being a source of encouragement as well as legal guidance.
Significant accomplishments include leading a team of 15 members to launch The Law Store, a storefront law firm making legal services more accessible and providing recommendations to a circuit judge regarding updates to family law rules to ensure consistency across counties.
As a guardian ad litem for the 30th and 31st Judicial Circuits primarily representing the interests of children, she was invited to speak at the 2024 Missouri Family Law Conference on best practices, despite only having three years’ experience.
Proudest moment? The moment each of my children were born. Being a mom to Harper and Hampton is my favorite job.
What would shock people about your job? The amount of work that goes into a case. Most people do not see the hours of work behind the scenes to keep their case moving, to strategize the next move or to prepare for trial.
Best piece of advice you’ve received? My great grandmother always told me: “You’ll never regret being kind.”
Favorite local food order? Short rib ravioli from Avanzare followed by a German chocolate concrete at Andy’s.
