Project description: A residential development along Hammons Boulevard in Joplin is slated for nine wood-framed buildings comprising 178 apartments, 72 townhouse units and a clubhouse, project officials say. With design work by Simonson & Associates Architects LLC (Des Moines, Iowa), the engineers are Own Inc., civil and geotechnical; Raker Rhodes Engineering LLC (Des Moines), structural; and Morrissey Engineering Inc. (Omaha, Nebraska), mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
A City Utilities employee since 2017 with a 25-year legal background, he now leads the municipal utility provider with an $895 million annual budget.
