A Wild Idea for Your Next Corporate Event

Posted online

Corporate events tend to be strikingly similar. Dickerson Park Zoo, in collaboration with Friends of the Zoo, is setting out to change that. A zoo buyout of Dickerson Park Zoo, which celebrated its 100th birthday in 2023, could take your corporate event from routine to one to remember. “Imagine having the entire zoo to yourselves after hours for your company retreat, event or picnic,” said Joey Powell, PR/Marketing Director at Dickerson Park Zoo/Friends of the Zoo. “It’s not just an event. It’s an experience.”

Events may be adult only or family friendly. Powell mentioned that the zoo is the perfect spot to celebrate milestones, hold awards ceremonies, have holiday or other parties, host employee appreciation events, or conduct team-building exercises and retreats. “You get the whole zoo to yourself,” said Powell. “There’s just nothing else like it.”

Those who choose to book a zoo buyout for an event will pay one flat fee and be able to enjoy exclusive access to the zoo’s attractions, including the train, the giraffe deck, petting zoo and amphitheater. For an additional fee, catering is offered. Employers may also choose to give attendees zoo bucks to spend at the zoo café. The option to serve beer or wine is also available.

“With years of experience and a passion for creating unforgettable moments, we take pride in delivering an extraordinary evening,” said Powell.

“Our team will work closely with you to customize every aspect of your event.” This includes the ability to work within different budgets.

Zoo buyouts are in high demand and sell out quickly, so Powell recommends booking as early as possible to avoid missing out on the opportunity to hold an event at Dickerson Park Zoo. “It’s just such a great opportunity to treat your team to a truly unique experience,” said Powell.
