2021 Trusted Advisers Commercial Realtor: Gerald Zamora

After seven years with SVN/Rankin Co., commercial real estate agent Gerald Zamora broke off this summer to launch his own firm.

With ZRA LLC, Zamora is seeking to continue his track record of real estate success. His annual commissions were roughly $100,000 in 2020, up from $85,000 in 2019.

At ZRA, Zamora says he’s working to develop his industry specialties while advancing services using new technologies, as well as helping those entering the commercial real estate industry.

“Real-time marketing and relationship management software is one of the latest trends in commercial real estate,” Zamora says. “To best service properties, buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords, an adviser has to use traditional and new processes and platforms to be efficient and effective.

“We are implementing methods to help expedite our processes by using new technology with proven concepts.”

Those new technologies, he says, include QR codes on traditional real estate signs to direct potential buyers to immediate information on their cell phones.

Prior to starting ZRA, Zamora owned The Real Estate Broker of Springfield and Branson from 2009 until it sold in 2011, served as a broker and owner of Familia Real Estate 2006-08 and operated Zamora Marketing 2010-15.

While now at ZRA, Zamora maintains a friendly relationship with his former employer.

Mike Fusek, senior adviser at SVN/Rankin Co., says he trusts Zamora with his properties.

“Gerald is honest, knowledgeable and sincerely committed to helping his clients,” Fusek says. “Going above and beyond for his clients is an everyday goal for Gerald.”

What sets Zamora apart is his focus on his customers, according to Fusek.

“We live in an age where most brokers care most about their commission. Gerald truly is different. Gerald always puts his clients’ interest first.”

Through his work, Zamora is involved with researching the commercial real estate market, soliciting the portfolios of property owners, assisting in leasing and purchasing, managing the closing process and supporting the client after the deal is finalized.

“I’ve changed lives of individuals and/or groups who I assisted in owning or acquiring properties,” Zamora says.

He notes that it’s important to do “everything I can for an individual or group, even if it’s outside my professional services or if I don’t get paid.”

Another key role in his advisory work, he says, is “maintaining a centered discipline of my fiduciary duties to clients and our community.”

While Zamora says he is not part of industry associations or other trade groups, he’s working on a personal project that blends his passion for real estate with art and architecture.

Zamora recently acquired a commercial space to establish a nonprofit to offer a venue for children and teenagers to display paintings for sale.

He also keeps busy with mentorships.

“In 2020, I mentored eight individuals in getting their careers started,” Zamora says.
