Mixed-used development proposed in KC area

Grain Valley-based Ward Development has plans in the works for a mixed-use development in the Kansas City area.

The developer is seeking a rezoning of 247 acres in Olathe, Kansas, for the project called Park 169. Recently given approval by city planners, the decision heads to Olathe City Council next month.

Plans call for 700 housing units and more than a dozen industrial buildings.
