Then: Radio personality, KTTS
Now: Realtor, Keller Williams Realty Inc.
Once a KSPR television reporter and KTTS morning show host, Julie Vanvig Burnell transitioned in 2009 out of the media spotlight. Although she says she enjoyed broadcasting, it was time for a change to better accommodate family activities.
Burnell joined Oxford HealthCare for a time before moving into real estate in 2015, following in the footsteps of her parents. She was named Keller Williams’ Rookie of the Year in 2016 and the Missouri Housing Development Commission’s Realtor of the Year in 2018.
Burnell helps sell about $13 million worth of homes each year, she says, with the help of her husband Mike, business partner Aaron Bruenger and two assistants.
A food truck that launched last year rebranded and moved to Metro Eats; automotive repair business Mitchem Tire Co. expanded its Christian County presence; and O’Reilly Build LLC was acquired.
