Summer 2022 Architects & Engineers Project Report: Camp Barnabas dining hall

H Design Group LLC is the architect for an expansion of Camp Barnabas facilities in Purdy, including a $4.3 million dining hall. The 22,195-square-foot building will give 725 campers and staff a new space to dine while providing a large indoor gathering space. The upper level contains the main dining hall, private dining room, commercial kitchen and restrooms. The lower level has meeting space, restrooms and concessions accessible from a new pool deck. Design officials say the facility features natural stone, wood, board and batten siding, timber elements, and a metal roof. Engineering work is by Olsson Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and CJD Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Olsson is also landscape architect for the project. A general contractor has not yet been selected for the project, which is targeting completion before the 2023 summer camp season.
