Description: The Federal Emergency Management Agency-rated facility will provide 911 dispatching workstations, administrative offices, a training area, kitchen, quiet rooms and locker-room facilities. The center owned by the Lawrence County Emergency Services Board will handle calls for all of Lawrence County and dispatch law enforcement, fire and medical services.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
