McDonald's french fry supplier closes Washington plant

Lamb Weston, a supplier of french fries to McDonald's, is closing a plant in Connell, Washington.

That means 375 layoffs, amounting to 4% of the company's workforce.

"Restaurant traffic and frozen potato demand, relative to supply, continue to be soft, and we believe it will remain soft through the remainder of fiscal 2025," said Tom Werner, Lamb Weston president and CEO.
