Posted online

Polyethylene pipe product manufacturer Terra Star LLC is investing in Rogersville to the tune of $5 million.

The company plans to develop a production facility in the city and create 31 jobs, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development. Terra Star was registered with the Missouri secretary of state in August.

“This project was made possible by owners who trust our local community, which is where my partners and I grew up and is special to us all,” said Doug Jungers, president of Terra Star, in the release. “This is not only an opportunity to bring more jobs to the region, but it also allows us to reinvest in a place that is dear to us. We look forward to establishing production operations in the welcoming community of Rogersville and Webster County, which has supported Terra Star to get this project started for us to grow and succeed.”

DED officials could not be reached for comment by deadline on additional details of the project.

Terra Star, according to the release, is looking to serve the needs of the construction and utility markets.

"We welcome Terra Star and are excited to see their expansion and success in southwest Missouri," Gov. Mike Parson said in the release.

Terra Star is utilizing state incentive programs for the project.

One is the Missouri Works program, which provides access to capital through withholdings or tax credits in exchange for job creation, according to the release. The company also will be assisted through an enhanced enterprise zone program in Webster County.

The financial terms of the incentives were not provided in the release.
