Description: In a two-phase project with new construction and a renovation, Calvary Chapel Springfield is working on a new location at an industrial building that was formerly home to Saco Petroleum Inc. The first phase is the construction of a preengineered metal building that will house the main worship area for the church, as well as the pastor’s office and a nursery, according to Goforth Construction Project Manager Andrea Demster. The second phase, partially completed with an exterior coat of charcoal gray paint, will remodel the existing building into classrooms, Demster said. The church, currently at Seminole Street and Lone Pine Avenue, purchased the former Saco Petroleum complex in July 2018, according to its website.
