Executive Collector: President and CEO Mark Harrington’s office is filled with Missouri State University memorabilia, including a signed basketball from men’s basketball head coach Dana Ford and a framed custom jersey he says was a gift for being a lifelong Bears basketball fan. He also is an MSU graduate, adding the bank is a frequent university sponsor. “We really support the Bears a lot,” he says. “It’s my favorite sports team ahead of the [Kansas City] Chiefs and the [St. Louis] Cardinals.”

Transformed Space

A former Shelter Insurance office near Battlefield Mall was transformed in 2020 by OMB Bank to serve as its new operations center.

Bank officials say the 11,284-square-foot facility at 3110 S. Delaware Ave. houses 30 full-time staff, while 16 are considered hybrid employees and another 43 work remotely, making occasional on-site appearances. The building can accommodate the workforce mix, with 18 workstations and 24 short-term spaces, dubbed hoteling stations. A quarter of its 16 offices are dedicated for executives at the center, which also has three conference rooms, a boardroom, an employee lounge and kitchen, as well as an outdoor area in the rear for working or relaxing.

The need for larger operations space prompted a relocation from near the bank’s South National Avenue branch, officials say.

OMB, which rebranded earlier this year from Old Missouri Bank, also has eight branches and two loan centers.
