Mariner Kemper, chairman and CEO for Kansas City-based UMB Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: UMBF), has been named among Forbes' list of the most powerful CEOs 40 and under.

The list - comprising chief executives leading the largest publicly traded companies based on market capitalization as of Feb. 13 - ranks the 40-year-old banker No. 7.

Kemper, who joined UMB in 1997, is marked for leading a company with a market capitalization of $1.85 billion.

He joins executives such as 39-year-old Larry Page of Google and 28-year-old Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, who ranked Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Forbes named 20 people on the list.

Kemper has been chairman and CEO of UMB since May 2004, according to his corporate profile.
