Tesla delivers a record-breaking number of cars

Tesla’s second quarter marked a record number of car deliveries, exceeding analysts’ cautiously optimistic expectations.

Elon Musk’s company delivered 95,200 cars in the quarter, beating predictions by 5%. Tesla is expected to announce its quarterly earnings soon, but shares were up as much as 7%. Officials are hoping it stems the losses of $700 million in the first quarter.
