Joplin woman accused of stealing $700K from relative

Joplin woman Tammy Jo Tripp, 52, has been accused of stealing more than $700,000 from an older, blind relative.

Tripp reportedly waived a preliminary hearing and had her arraignment set for Oct. 1.

Prosecutors allege Tripp obtained and exercised the power of attorney over the 69-year-old woman to take money from her Morgan Stanley investments account.
