Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced Friday that the tax filing deadline has been pushed to July 15 from April 15 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties," Mnuchin said.
NBC News reports the announcement is part of efforts to keep $300 billion in the economy.
