Baird, Kurtz & Dobson and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to present the 1998 Small Business of the Year award.
The award is given to a business that has made outstanding contributions to the progress of the Joplin area economy.
Nominees are being sought for the award. Criteria for the award are having fewer than 50 employees, having been in business for more than four years, being located within a 35-mile radius of Joplin and having been a member of the Joplin chamber for two years.
