Barbara Keys, Flora McKeown and Dr. James Spindler were honored in December for their work at Skaggs Community Health Center. McKeown, of Branson, and Keys, of Hollister, were named co-winners of the Employee of the Year, and Spindler, of Springfield, was selected as the Physician of the Year.

In the nomination, Keys, who is an admitting clerk in the emergency room business office and a Skaggs employee for more the 20 years, was praised for being "so hard working" and "a vital part of our team." McKeown, who has been secretary in nursing administration for four years, was cited for "making a significant difference in the lives and work of many people" at Skaggs.

Spindler, chief pathologist at Skaggs since November 1986, was selected as the first ever recipient of the Physician of the Year Award for exemplifying the "Team Skaggs" spirit.[[In-content Ad]]
