According to the Branson Chamber Monthly, the newsletter of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, a new chamber advisory council known as the Small Business Council begins work in January.
Members appointed to the council are Eric Farris, of Farris and Associates; Jan Freemen, of Plants and Petals; Gary Groman, as an individual member; Trish Hall, of Enviro Tech; Steve Hartley, of Dick's Five and Ten; Jeanne Hendricks, of Branson Lock; Patty Merchant, of Mountain Man Nut and Fruit; Dr. Rick Tallon, of Branson Dental Center; Phyllis VanderNaald, of the Branson Business Journal; Bob Warlick, of Naturegraphics; and Mark Weisz, of Weisz Commercial Realty.
The council's mission is to promote and serve small business.
Its three goals for 1998 are:
?To define small business based on commonalties.
?To develop small-business assistance.
?To develop community awareness of small business.
