Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce reports that Branson ranks number 20 out of all U.S. cities as a visitor destination, according to D.K. Shifflet research in 1997.
The top five destination cities were Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Myrtle Beach and San Diego. Branson ranked 27th in the 1996 D.K. Shifflet report.
