White River Valley Electric Cooperative's Operation Round Up recently awarded $41,000 in scholarships to area students. Forty-one candidates were selected to receive $1,000 toward college tuition.

Operation Round Up, marking its fifth year, is funded by cooperative members whose electric bills are voluntarily rounded up to the next dollar each month. All of the money collected through the program is given back to the community.
