The kickoff to Branson's off-season tourism season is the fifth annual Hot Winter Fun Big Show, 7 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Jim Stafford Theatre on West Highway 76. Since 1994, this annual benefit has been a fund raiser for marketing and promoting the season-extension efforts during January, February and March.
Entertainers scheduled to perform in the 1999 Hot Winter Fun Big Show include '50s At the Hop, 76 Music Hall, Branson City All Star Revue, Frederick Antonio, Grand Old Gospel Hour, Jim Stafford, Kirby VanBurch, Kitty Kelley, Legends, Mike Radford, Ozarks Discovery IMAX and The Platters.
Terri Schuttenberg, producer of the Big Show, said, "Audiences sample great shows and feel like a part of the community." Tickets are $20 and reservations can be made by calling 335-8080.
