Sedalia company acquires Dameron Color Labs

Sedalia-based Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. has acquired Dameron Color Labs Inc., a Springfield printing firm that does business as Black River Imaging in Partnership Industrial Center.

Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Roy Dameron, founder and president of Black River Imaging, is staying on as the company's president, and David Williams of Inter-State Studio has joined the Springfield company as its general manager, according an Jan. 10 e-mailed statement by Dameron to Black River Imaging customers.

"After 41 years, my wife, Martha, and I were presented with an option to move toward retirement and have accepted," Dameron wrote in the statement.

Dameron could not be reached this morning for further comment.

Inter-State Studio is nearing its 80th year in business providing families and schools with photographic services.

"Our companies have known each other for decades with a great deal of mutual respect," Dameron added in the statement.

Black River Imaging, 2525 N. Partnership Blvd., provides photographic, metal and art prints, as well as card, promotional and other services.
