Karen Wilson has been promoted to assistant vice president, residential real estate, at Commerce Bank, Bolivar. Wilson is responsible for business development and customer service related to the bank's mortgage loan products for customers in the Bolivar area. She has been with Commerce since 1973.

Randy Saul has been appointed senior vice president and market executive for NationsBank's Private Client Group in Springfield. In this role, Saul will manage a group of professionals who deliver a range of financial services to high-net-worth individuals in the area. He has 17 years of trust and banking experience.

Barry McGowen has joined First Greensboro Home Equity's Springfield branch as a loan officer. McGowen holds a degree in human resource manage-ment from the University of Arkansas and previously worked with USA Truck. He will now be handling purchase money mortgages and first and second mortgages.

Kevin Hogan, CPA, CMA, has joined Whitlock, Selim & Keehn LLP as taxation manager. Hogan will provide tax-accounting and employee-benefit services to clients in various industries. Hogan received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas, and later earned his masters in taxation from Northern Illinois University.

The Springfield office of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson has made the following staff changes:

Ann L. Conus and John R. Cook, CPAs, have been promoted from managers to senior managers at BKD.

Conus has more than nine years of experience providing tax consulting services for individuals, and sales and use tax advisory services for businesses. Cook has more than eight years of experience providing tax consulting and accounting services for clients in real estate and health care, as well as tax planning and preparation services for businesses in various industries, individuals, estates, trusts and nonprofit organizations.

Michelle M. Brekken, CPA, has been promoted from supervisor to manager at BKD. Brekken has six years of public accounting experience. She works with clients in the construction, wholesale and retail industries, and also provides auditing and consulting services for nonprofit organizations.

Brian P. Hickman, CPA, has been promoted from manager to managing consultant at BKD. Hickman is a member of the BKD Health Care Group. He has more than nine years of experience providing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement consulting services for clients in the health care industry.
