Nathan Adams will serve as an intern for Rep. Roy Blunt Jan. 25-May 7. Adams is president of the student body at Drury College, where he is getting his bachelor's degree in political science and business administration.
John Dutton, a native of Washington state, has joined Rep. Roy Blunt's staff as legislative director. He has 10 years of experience on Capitol Hill. He also served as an assistant to Chief of Staff Don Regan in the Reagan White House, and also did research in the private sector on congressional reform for the Heritage Foundation.
Stephanie Legan, who graduated from SMSU in December 1998 with a bachelor's degree in agricultural business, has been hired as Rep. Roy Blunt's legislative correspondent. She worked as an intern for state Sen. Morris Westfall, is a past president of the Collegiate Farm Bureau and worked as an intern at the Missouri Farm Bureau headquarters.

Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
