Pennsylvania company to add 500 jobs at Joplin center

Horsham, Pa.-based business process outsourcing services company NCO Group Inc. has committed to hiring roughly 500 employees for its Joplin customer management contact center at 1717 W. Seventh St.

Job opportunities will comprise seasonal and full-time positions such as customer care associates, team managers, trainers and other program specialist roles, according to a news release.

The hiring announcement comes alongside news that two of NCO's leading clients, Best Buy and Intuit, are expanding services with the company.

"The combination of this client expansion, our talented team in Joplin and our long-standing relationship with the Joplin community is very positive," said Bob Corsi, senior vice president of customer management for NCO, in the release. "We are very excited to be able to do our part to aid the ongoing recovery of Joplin in this way."

NCO Group Inc. has roughly 30,000 employees at more than 100 locations. The company's primary function is to provide customer service outsourcing for other companies, according to its Web site.
