Erin Strobel opened their second center for training in gymnastics, cheerleading and tumbling. The Strobels started Dynamics Gymnastics in 2006 at 2100 E. Pythian St. The 9,000-square-foot new center, built this year for roughly $500,000, is intended to expand the company’s two-year-old competitive cheerleading program, Icon Cheer, and to tap into the southwest Springfield market, according to Springfield Business Journal coverage. Dynamics Gymnastics trains roughly 650 students, and Erin Strobel said the Icon Cheer program comprises six competitive squads. The centers also offer birthday party rentals and open gym and parent night-out events priced per child, said Danna Woody, office clerk. Paul Rasmussen and
Nolan Fogle opened Pablo’s Mexican Food on May 15 at 2001 State Highway 248 in Branson. Rasmussen said the restaurant serves California-style Mexican food with recipes and menus purchased from Purple Burrito owners in Springfield. Pablo’s Mexican, which employs 10, features deep-fried shredded beef tacos ($2.10 apiece), fish tacos ($2.45) and 10 burrito choices ($5.50 to $6.30). Rasmussen, who served as president of Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex for 13 years and has owned Florentina’s Italian Restaurante and Montana Mike’s Steakhouse, said Pablo’s also offers a complimentary chip, salsa and pickled vegetable bar. Duff Family Dental LLCDr. Carla Duff opened Duff Family Dental LLC and began seeing patients July 31 at 1722 S. Glenstone Ave., Ste. Q. Duff, a graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City, previously worked at Fordland Dental Clinic and Jordan Valley Community Health Center. At Duff Family Dental, she sees patients of all ages, said Dominique Premer, Duff’s assistant, dental hygienist and office manager. Premer is one of two other employees at the general dentistry practice. Duff Family Dental also offers teeth whitening, dental implants, veneers and laminates, according to its Web site.
