Great Southern Bancorp Inc. has announced that Great Southern Bank has converted to a Missouri chartered trust company. As a result of the conversion, the corporation will be regulated as a bank holding company. The company also announced the declaration of an 11-cent-per-share dividend payable July 20 to shareholders of record July 10. As of July 1, the company had repurchased 43,451 shares in its buy-back plan, bringing total shares outstanding to 7,961,727.
Liberty Bank celebrated the opening of its new location at 2809 E. Sunshine with a neighborhood cookout June 3. The grand opening activities continued through the end of the month with a $5 donation to the Boys & Girls Town for each new account opened in June.
