A ribbon cutting for the Wal-Mart Supercenter will be held 8 a.m. Jan. 27 with the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and other special guests, according to Therese Kristek-Ramos, co-manager. The new Wal-Mart Supercenter will open for business following the ribbon cutting and will be open 24 hours a day.
The store includes a bakery, deli, fresh meats, Radio Grill, automotive center, fresh floral department, pharmacy, vision center, Guaranty Federal Savings and a one-hour photo department in addition to the regular Wal-Mart departments and grocery area.
Wal-Mart can be reached from State Highway 160 or from Aldersgate Drive, a new street that now connects Highway 160 east to Main Street. A new traffic signal at the intersection in front of Wal-Mart will be operational the week of Jan. 18, according to John Patrick, Nixa street superintendent.
