Banking & Finance
The Springfield operation of Rolla-based Phelps County Bank hired Clint Caffey, Chuck Lacy, J.C. Loveland and Andy West. Caffey, senior vice president with a focus on business development, has more than 20 years of banking experience. Lacy, vice president of lending, has over 30 years of industry experience. Loveland, vice president with a focus on lending, has roughly 20 years of leadership experience and five years in the banking industry. West, vice president and credit officer, has more than 20 years of banking experience.

Regent Bank promoted Mick Nitsch to executive vice president and Missouri regional president. With an MBA from Southeast Missouri State University, Nitsch previously was Regent Bank’s Springfield market president since 2020.

Education
Ozark High School’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter took home 52 medals at its district competition. The OHS chapter had six district champions and 38 state qualifiers.

Health Care
Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs appointed Jeanne Hoagland as long-term care marketing coordinator. Hoagland has 17 years of health care experience.

Hospitality
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield-Medical District earned the IHG Spirit of True Hospitality Excellence Award, which is considered the most prestigious honor among IHG Hotels & Resorts properties. The award recognizes metrics such as customer service and satisfaction. The south Springfield hotel is owned by JKD Inc. and managed by Rolling Oaks Hospitality Inc.

Law
Ozarks Legacy Law LLC hired attorney Jeffrey C. Goodnight. With more than 20 years of legal experience, Goodnight most recently worked at Hosmer King & Royce LLC. He has a bachelor’s in animal science from Oklahoma State University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Carnahan Evans PC attorney Joseph D. “Chip” Sheppard III was named to the Missouri Lawyers Media Power List as a top 30 mergers and acquisitions attorney for the second year in a row. The publication’s editorial team compiles the Power List based on interviews, case outcomes and state records.

Manufacturing
Brewer Science earned the Zero Waste to Landfill Certification from GreenCircle Certified LLC for the ninth consecutive year. Companies earn the certification when 100% of the materials leaving their facilities are intended to be diverted from landfills.

Nonprofit
The GLO Center appointed Collins Chetwin as program coordinator. A longtime volunteer of the Springfield LGBTQ+ nonprofit, Chetwin oversees the organization’s support groups, including GLO Youth and Rainbow Kids.

The Arvest Foundation presented $35,000 in grants to eight Branson-area organizations. The funding went to Elevate Branson for the installation of solar panels; the Hollister Schools Foundation for a book vending machine program; Faith Community Health Center for the purchase of pediatric care items; the Skaggs Foundation to be used for grants; Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks to support operating costs; Chances of Stone County for its Club DayBreak program; Unite Table Rock Lake for operating costs; and Reeds Spring School Foundation for operating costs.
