Joe Walsh, a former Tea Party congressman from Illinois, dropped his Republican primary bid to take over for President Donald Trump.
“Any Democrat would be better than Trump in the White House,” Walsh said when announcing his exit from the race. “I would rather have a socialist in the White House than a dictator or a king.”
Walsh previously supported Trump but has since called him "unfit" and “the greatest threat to this country right now.”
