DOWNTOWN DOINGS. The building leased by NationsBank on Park Central Square has drawn the interest of local buyers. At least three separate groups have reviewed the property, according to Jim Farrar, facility maintenance representative for Trammell Crow Co., which manages the property for Presidio Investments Ltd. Farrar said the bank and garage are not listed for sale. "It's been primarily interest from buyers," Farrar said. "They'll make an offer, and we'll see." Farrar said he forwards proposals to Presidio officials. Two commercial real estate brokers said

they were representing groups interested

in the properties, and one said a

formal bid for the property would be presented. NationsBank sold 117 Park Central and the parking garage south of it on McDaniel to Presidio in April 1998. The transaction with

Dallas-based Presidio was part of a 32-property sale that included long-term leases to the NationsBank operations occupying those properties. Steve Coller's Commercial Property Group is the leasing agent on the available space in the building. More than 33,000 square feet are available in various configurations and on different floors at $7.50 per square foot, Coller said. Farrar said he also has been managing paid public parking in the four-story garage in recent months. Spaces in the garage are available 3 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. Parking costs $4.

GROCERY SHUFFLE. Officials with Dillon's, the wholly owned subsidiary of Kroger, have announced its local management office will close. Management operations for the Springfield region will be handled through its Hutchinson, Kan., office beginning this summer, said Tim Bellanti, general manager of Dillon's in Springfield. Bellanti is unsure of his own future. Bellanti said he has no interest in moving to Kansas. "I'll be voting with the family. We've been here 15 years and we really love it here," Bellanti said. The local office will be closed by October, and the relocation process for some employees will begin in July. Some of the employees will remain with Dillon's, while others will be offered a severance package[[In-content Ad]]
