Project description: The intensive care unit addition on the Cox South campus is creating a net gain of 24 beds, bringing the total number of adult critical care beds to 76, said Rod Schaffer, CoxHealth’s vice president of facilities management. Schaffer said the addition would put new beds on the ground level and allow for additional warehouse space on the lower level. The project, which is funded through a combination of operational revenues and 2008 construction bond revenues, also calls for renovations of 3,000 square feet in the existing ICU.[[In-content Ad]]
