Franchise fatigue hits 'Men in Black' and 'Shaft'

The franchise reboots for "Men in Black" and "Shaft" delivered disappointed results at the box office.

"Men in Black: International" led the North American box office, though it only brought in $28.5 million. All three previous "Men in Black" movies opened with at least $50 million.

"Shaft" did not make it into the top five at the box office, as it brought in $8.3 million.
