Larry Frazier, known for his work as CEO of White River Valley Electric Cooperative and as a board member for Great Southern Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: GSBC), has died. He was 86.
Frazier, of Springfield, died Nov. 21, according to his obituary posted to Adams Funeral Home's website. His cause of death was not disclosed.
Frazier led White River in Branson 1975-1999, and he also served as president of Rural Missouri Cable TV Inc. 1979-2000, according to a news release from Great Southern. He was a current and longtime board member for Great Southern, starting with Great Southern Financial Corp. in 1976 and Great Southern Bank/Great Southern Bancorp in 1992.
"Great Southern benefited from Larry’s knowledge, insight and trusted guidance for more than 40 years. We are forever grateful for his dedicated service," Great Southern board Chair William Turner said in the release. "He was a great friend and confidante, enriching the lives of those who knew him. What Larry treasured most was his wonderful family and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to them."
