Silver Dollar City had a repeat performance as the best U.S. theme park in a USA Today reader poll.
The Branson attraction was No. 1 in the theme park category of USA Today's 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. The announcement capped off a four-week voting period.
“We are so thankful for our loyal, enthusiastic fans who visit – and vote – for us,” Silver Dollar City President Brad Thomas said in a news release. “Our guests could travel to other states and other parks but choose to spend their family time making memories with us here in the heart of the Ozarks."
The USA Today reader poll indicates Silver Dollar City brings in some 2 million visitors annually. With an 1880s mining town theme, the Branson theme park has more than 40 rides and attractions, 100 resident craftspeople and festivals.
Silver Dollar City’s new Fire in the Hole attraction, a $30 million project, debuted in March, according to past reporting.
No. 2 in the USA Today voting was Knoebels of Elysburg, Pennsylvania, followed by SeaWorld Orlando in Florida at No. 3. Dollywood, a Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. property in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, along with SDC, ranked at No. 5.
Silver Dollar City previously ranked No. 1 in 2023, 2020 and 2012, according to past reporting.
