Former Google executive Anthony Levandowski closed his Way of the Future church that worshiped artificial intelligence.
Levandowski donated the church’s funds, totaling $175,172, to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund.
In 2009, Levandowski was a founding member of the Google self-driving vehicle project now called Waymo. He was central to a trade secrets lawsuit between Waymo and Uber, and he recently avoided an 18-month prison sentence via presidential pardon.
