The American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters & Chartered Financial Consultants, a national association of financial service professionals, has introduced a new web site at http://www. asclu.org.
The site is focused on providing consumers with tips and hints on managing their finances, selecting a consultant and other financial planning issues, according to a news release from the society.
"The society is a rich resource of information for consumers, as well as financial service professionals," said society President Edward H. Miller III, CLU, ChFC, in the release.
"For seven decades, society members have provided financial security for individuals, families and businesses. At the core of the society's mission is a commitment to continuing education and high ethical standards. The World Wide Web provides another way for the society to assist the public."
Also available through the site are the results of research surveys on business ethics. "Sources and Consequences of Workplace Pressure" and "Technology and Ethics in the Workplace" are two such studies, cosponsored by the society and the Ethics Officer Association of Belmont, Mass.
Web surfers can also request refer-
rals via the web site to access a list of society members located in their geographic areas.
Society members provide assistance with estate planning, retirement and financial counseling, employee benefits, business and compensation planning, and life and health insurance.
Founded in 1928, the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters & Chartered Financial Consultants is a national association of 33,000 insurance and financial service professionals, with 216 chapters throughout the United States.
Members of the society have earned, or are studying for, professional designations and master's degrees from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
