Facebook announced the launch of its new dating service.
Called Facebook Dating, the service requires users to create a separate dating-specific profile. It maches people based on preferences, events attended and proximity.
Facebook officials said new privacy and security features would help users hide their profiles from specific people, among other features. However, some are skeptical about the privacy promises given Facebook's issues keeping user data secret.
