Democratic candidates for president tore into Donald Trump during the fifth presidential debate.
The debate came hours after Gordon Sondland, U.S. ambassador to the European Union, implicated several senior officials and Trump in impeachment inquiry testimony.
“We have a criminal living in the White House,” said California Sen. Kamala Harris. “Ambassador Sondland by his own words told us that everyone was in the loop. That makes it a criminal enterprise.”
However, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders warned the Democratic party must not become “consumed” by Trump and the impeachment inquiry.
