CoxHealth opens heart valve care clinic

CoxHealth has launched a clinic within its Wheeler Heart and Vascular Center, 3800 S. National Ave., specializing in heart valve disease and treatment.

The clinic, open on Fridays, aims to streamline the process for patients to schedule appointments with caregivers for necessary diagnostic tests, according to a news release.

“We’ve always taken great care of our heart valve patients, but this new approach allows us to care for them in a more patient-centered way,” Dr. James Ceaser, cardiologist, said in the release. “Having all our experts working together at the clinic really lets us quickly grasp the whole picture of the patient’s condition and make the best decisions for that patient’s care."

The clinic's team comprises nurse educators, cardiologists and thoracic surgeons.[[In-content Ad]]
