City's monthly tax check down, revenues ahead year-to-date

The city of Springfield’s September check for 1 percent sales tax revenues from the Missouri Department of  Revenue is down 1.35 percent to $3.91 million, the city announced Sept. 8.

This is the third check received for the city’s fiscal year 2011, which began in July. Year-to-date, the city’s sales tax revenue is at $9.44 million, said Finance Director Mary Mannix Decker. That amount is 2.84 percent higher than the same period the previous year.[[In-content Ad]]
