Branson's Vacation Channel, which has provided vacation and community information for three decades, is under new ownership.
Ozark Mountain Adventure Properties LLC acquired the business from founders Scott and Lisa Earls, according to a news release issued this month. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
"We are excited to add the Vacation Channel to our media lineup," said Chris Myer, president of Branson-based Ozark Mountain Adventure Properties, in the release. "The Vacation Channel has a long history in the Branson community. We look forward to building on that tradition and growing the brand to help deliver value to both tourists and our local community.”
Several years ago, Myer considered purchasing the Vacation Channel but determined it was not the right time. When Scott Earls approached Myer again in 2022, the timing worked and the past several months were spent satisfying Federal Communications Commission requirements to finalize the acquisition.
Myer over 18 years has developed media properties including The Flavor of Branson, Taste of Branson, Branson Restaurant Map and Branson Vacation Planner, according to the release. The Vacation Channel is available on cable and serves the lakes region and communities north of Branson.
